MCA CODES OF PRACTICE

Compliance Examinations

As a Nominated Surveyor of the YDSA Certifying Authority I am authorised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to undertake Compliance Examinations for the Codes of Practice for Small Commercial Sailing Vessels, Motor Vessels and Workboats.

These Codes cover all UK vessels in commercial use, under 24 metres in length, which go to sea carrying up to 12 passengers or cargo. The YDSA has been a Certifying Authority for these Codes since their inception, and is now one of the largest in terms of numbers of vessels on its register.

Stability Booklets

Inclining experiments can be undertaken on over 15m sailing and motor vessels for the preparation of stability booklets for the MCA Codes of Practice.
