STEAM LAUNCHES

Osprey is an important example of the type of Windermere Steam Launches which were being made between 1890 and 1911. Osprey was built in 1902 during a period when the building of this type of vessel was at its peak. Osprey is one of only a small group of about 5 working steam launches built on Windermere which are still on Windermere and which are capable of use.
